Personal Background and Affiliations: Mr. Collis is a member of the Michigan Association For Justice (formerly known as the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association). In addition to his academic and professional associations, Mr. Collis is married and is the father of two wonderful boys. His beautiful wife is a high school science teacher who specializes in teaching genetics and forensic science. Two dogs (a cockapoo and lambradoodle) round out the household. For the last several years, the family enjoys traveling and camping in their RV. Mr. Collis spends his free time golfing (14 handicap) and playing rugby for Olde Boys Michigan Rugby Football Club. He is a member of the Deer Lake Athletic Club and feels that a healthy lifestyle is important. He is an active contributor to charitable organizations such as the Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, Make-a-Wish Foundation, and American Cancer Society including the Avon Foundation.
